OnePlus’ first foray into the world of smartwatches follows its smartphone marketing strategy, offering premium features at affordable prices. The OnePlus Watch is the most affordable smartwatch released by a major smartphone maker, beating out big-name competition like Apple’s Series 3 and Fitbit Versa Lite, while still offering weeks of battery life and an incredibly comfortable design.

The OnePlus best smartwatch for oneplus pairs with and is controlled by the OnePlus Health app, which also houses a selection of 50 watch faces that range from minimalist to fitness-focused designs. There’s even a few emblazoned with the company’s Never Settle mantra. The watch runs on a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, with an STMicroelectronics ST32 microcontroller handling the UI and a Cypress Semiconductors PXI-6652 low-power platform for sensors and Bluetooth.

Aside from a few shortcomings, the OnePlus Watch offers everything you need from a fitness tracker. It tracks steps, calorie burn and heart rate, monitors SpO2 and sleep, and has GPS capabilities for workout tracking. It also includes more than 110 indoor and outdoor workout modes and comes with a comfy strap that fits most wrists.

A couple of software issues prevent the OnePlus Watch from reaching the heights it’s capable of, though. At launch, the OnePlus Health app didn’t add a section for sleep data and was frustratingly inconsistent with its logging. OnePlus told me it would be addressing these problems soon, but they weren’t fixed by the time of this review.
